Darkroom Gallery, Vermont To Show Micro-Crystal Art by Carol Roullard


Artist Carol Roullard’s micro-crystal photography artwork, Plume, is showing in “Hue,” Darkroom Gallery’s juried exhibition.

MOORPARK, CA – May 20, 2014 – Carol Roullard’s “Plume” art piece was chosen by juror Al Satterwhite to be included in Darkroom Gallery’s exhibit entitled “Hue”. Ms. Roullard is proud to have her micro-crystal fine art selected to be a part of this esteemed showcase. The show takes place May 22nd through June 15th, 2014, with an Artists Reception Friday, June 13th.

Artist Carol Roullard combines the art of crystal making, micrography and photography to create distinctive and remarkable fine art. Each of her pieces intrigues and challenges the viewer to envision new worlds, fantastic landscapes or sublime seascapes. “I deeply enjoy constructing intricate micro-crystal arrangements that captivate viewers and stimulate their imagination,” says Ms. Roullard.

Darkroom Gallery opened its doors in May 2010 with the purpose of providing and promoting juried fine art photography exhibitions through their Vermont gallery, on their website and published in exhibit catalogs. About Carol Roullard

Since her childhood, Carol Roullard has been fascinated with photography and capturing nature’s strength and character. More recently, she has directed these photographic artistic skills towards creating micro-crystal photographs that evoke viewers’ awe and delight. Using a high-powered polarization microscope she finds unique images that will never occur again in nature. Ms. Roullard prints her works on aluminum to bring out the iridescence in the images, as they were when she first saw them under the microscope.
