You’re Invited to my Current and Upcoming Art Shows
It’s mid-February and 2019 is already a very busy year with several current and upcoming art shows. I have my art in one show currently and two shows one starting next week and the other March 3rd. Exciting news! I’m exhibiting new art in all three shows.
Thousand Oaks Community Gallery
I have a new photography image, Storm Front Moving In, on exhibit in the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery (2331 Borchard Rd., Newbury Park, CA 91320 ) through Feb. 26th. I captured this growing storm over Antelope Island near Salt Lake City, Utah before it moved over us unleashing a small tornado, which for this Southern California gal, seemed anything but small. The car I was driving stayed on the ground (I think) but there was a lot of stuff flying by. I was never sure.
Seasons Art Show at Hillcrest Center of the Arts
My first mixed media artwork, Four Seasons, depicts a tree in relief during each of the seasons. This series debuts in the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley’s Seasons show starting Feb. 22th through April 22nd at the Hillcrest Center of the Arts, at 403 W Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks. I will also have two new 24” x 36” micro-crystal artwork on aluminum, Blue Vortex and Molten Tide, in the show. Season’s reception is March 30th from 4 – 6 pm at the Center. Please drop in. I would love to visit and get your feedback.
Gallery 113 in Santa Barbara
I’m very excited to be showing again at Gallery 113 located at 1114 State St, Unit 8 in Santa Barbara from March 3rd through March 30th. I’m still planning the specific pieces to hang but it looks like it will be 10-12 new fluid acrylic artworks. Like mixed media, this is a new art medium for me. The Gallery is hosting a reception on March 7th from 5-7pm. Again please stop by and see my new artwork.
One more very exciting bit of news. I was featured in Sanctuary Magazine’s February edition (click HERE). Sanctuary Magazine is an exceptional online site, which focuses on women’s issues, health and inspirational stories. Each month they feature two women who they believe are inspirational in their field. I was thrilled and extremely honored to be asked. It blew my mind to be asked to share their platform with Dr. Ruth C. Brown, President and CEO of Ronald McDonald House in New York.
