As you may know, I sell my art as paper prints and as aluminum prints. Aluminum is a very special medium for my artwork as it allows for a unique depth and glow, closely resembling how I first saw the crystal image through the microscope. I even wrote a blog post all about why Aluminum …

First off, I want to say a HUGE “Thank You!” to everyone who has supported my clothing line through Carol Roullard Art. It has been a wonderful experience so far.

In celebration of launching my Etsy store, where you can find my small prints for sale, I’m holding a giveaway to win River of Light 5″ x 7″ small print! Not everyone has the space for a large 24” x 36” aluminum print. Some people just want small prints to hang in small areas or maybe displayed on a mantle or bookshelf.
During the past several years I’ve been asked if I have small prints of my art. I always had to say no. I was disappointed that I could not accommodate my customers who loved my art but only had a small niche or just the right spot to display my micro-crystal art. I took it to heart and had a small number of my images printed in 4” x 6” and 5” x 7” sizes.
I am very happy to have my art juried into a local show at a new venue for me. Four of my pieces, “Pinnacle”, “Shattered”, “River of Light” and “Ray of Hope”, were accepted into the Ventura County Arts Council’s Abstracts Show going on right now through March 1st at the Ventura County Government Center. From what we were told in the Congratulations email, it was a tough competition. I am very honored to be accepted and doubly honored they selected so many of my artworks.
I am always thrilled when my art has a new home. Recently two of my large limited edition aluminum pieces, “Shoreline” and “Mystic,” found a permanent home at Hooke College for Applied Sciences located in Westmont, Illinois. They graciously sent me several pictures of my art hanging in their building. Hooke College is a prestigious institution …
Who doesn’t want that special item that truly enhances their look? Wearable Micro-Crystal Art scarves and kimonos are printed with amazing crystal images as they were found through the microscope. Plaids and stripes are old-school. Crystal art is new and exciting!
Its official, you can now wear my art! Take a look at my new Wearable Art page to view my initial release. We are starting small with kimonos and scarves but I promise there are more in the works.
September has certainly been an exciting month. I had my artwork in a Los Angeles art show, was awarded with “Special Recognition” for Parrot Feathers in an online exhibition, worked on my upcoming kimono and scarf collection (stay tuned!) and a 2-full page spread in CREATIV Magazine’s September 2015 issue.
